  Purchased a Jiffy Pro44 ice auger from them. Used it twice and the recoil broke. The propane tank vibrates loose while using it, takes 15 pulls to get started. The second time I used the auger it was stalling and it leaks oil. Northwoods refused to accept a return saying it was federal law that they cannot accept a return if the item has had gas in it. Correct me if I'm wrong but the law is in regard to shipping an item, not accepting a return. BUYER BEWARE DONT MAKE A MAJOR PURCHASE AT NORTHWOODS BECAUSE THEY RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY A RETURN AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID TO ME ON $499.99 PURCHASE. LOOK OVER THEIR RETURN POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THEM. The Fishing Department manager Bob told me they have had a lot of problems with Jiffy Ice Augers and that he is going to order less of them next season. I asked why would you sell them at all and he replied "I have to. If they fix the problems in the future and I don't sell them, I won't be able to get them at all." Wow. I'm not impressed at all. I always liked the store before but now that I know they won't stand behind the products they sell, I'm done shopping there.
